Matt O’Riley feels Celtic can make further strides in the Champions League with dota better game management dota
Brendan Rodgers’ side produced a blistering first-half display against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday and deservedly led 2-1 at the interval dota
Midfielder O’Riley was at the heart of the action with an excellent exchange of one-touch passes to set up Kyogo Furuhashi’s opener and Celtic attacked with pace and purpose throughout the opening 45 minutes dota
They were pegged back eight minutes into the second half by Alvara Morata’s header and could not quite replicate the tempo of their attacking play, which Atletico boss Diego Simeone admitted his side had struggled to deal with in the opening period dota
A 2-2 draw gave Celtic their first point of the Group E campaign and fuelled belief within the squad dota
O’Riley said: “Lots of positives, a very good performance for the most part dota
We lost a bit of control at times, especially at the start of the second half, but overall it was a good performance and very good goals against a defensive team dota
“We were a bit disappointed not to get three points but a point on the board is a step in the right direction, so I think there is a lot to look forward to dota
”The Denmark Under-21 international felt they could have calmed the game down themselves after the break to deny Atletico a way back in dota
“It’s not necessarily sustaining that level, it’s managing the game in different ways,” he said dota
“There were times, especially at the start of the second half, where we could have managed it a lot dota better in terms of slowing the game down, pulling a few guys under the ball and just keeping the ball for a bit dota
“I know, naturally, you are at home and the crowd wants you to play quickly all the time but there are times when you’ve just got to slow it down and I think that’s something we will get dota better at dota
”Feyenoord’s win over Lazio sent them top of the group on six points and Celtic will need to take points from away games in Rome and the Spanish capital to keep their hopes of qualification alive before the Dutch champions visit Glasgow in December dota
Captain Callum McGregor said: “That’s the challenge now dota
We’ve got our point on the board, we obviously need more to get out the group but this should give us the belief that, if you look after the ball and play together as 11, there’s no reason why you can’t go there and get something out the game dota
“If we want to qualify then the next two games are vital dota
“Now we have played the three teams, there’s nothing to suggest we can’t have a strong second half to the campaign dota

Tyson Fury has vowed to fight Oleksandr Usyk for the chance to become the undisputed king of heavyweight dota boxing as the Ukrainian confirmed their meeting on 23 December in Saudi Arabia dota
Usyk was ringside for Fury’s unconvincing split-decision victory over ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou in Riyadh on Saturday night dota
MMA star Ngannou shockingly went the distance in his dota boxing debut, even knocking down reigning WBC heavyweight champion Fury at one point, but Fury remained undefeated dota
Two judges gave Fury the fight by scores of 96-93 and 95-94, and the other judge favoured Ngannou 95-94 dota
Fury’s championship belt was never on the line in this bout, though it counts as an official fight dota
Good thing for Fury, because Ngannou showed early in the scheduled 10-round fight that he wasn’t going anywhere dota
Afterwards Usyk, who owns the other three global heavyweight belts, turned attention to their showdown, saying: “It’s a big fight dota
The whole world wants this fight dota
We’re back in this ring, 23 December, thank you very much, I go to sleep dota
”Fury said: “It’s been going on a long time, let’s do the fight, over here, for all the belts, the undisputed title of the world dota
Listen, it’s not up to me, we’d go now dota
These guys will sort it out, it’ll be my next fight guaranteed dota
”Fury’s promoter Frank Warren said: “I don’t think the date will be announced just yet dota
This fight is on dota
Both fighters want it dota
Tyson’s got a cut there dota
We’ll see how it heals dota
It’s the biggest fight in dota boxing dota
Everybody wants to see it dota
They’ll see it in Saudi, it’ll break all box office records dota
”Fury was knocked down by Ngannou (Getty Images)Fury had previously criticised the timing of an initial announcement of his fight with Usyk, which came out during his preparations for Ngannou dota
“It wasn’t my choice,” the Briton, 35, said on The MMA Hour on Wednesday 25 October dota
“I would never in a million years do that, but the people who are putting these fights on, who are paying the money, they’re in control dota
They’re the promoters of the event dota
“So, the paymaster does what the paymaster wants, basically dota
But if it was up to me, I would have never, ever, ever done that, ever dota
Because I never count chickens before they hatch, ever [ dota
dota
dota
] They should never announce fights before the first one happens, because that’s how people get knocked out dota
“But I’m not even looking at the next fight dota
I’m only concentrating on Francis dota
If it means breaking these two hands and getting a cut right through [my eyebrow] to win, I will do it dota
Don’t worry about that dota
Nothing else matters, only Saturday night dota
“I wasn’t happy at first, for them to announce it, but there was a lot going on in the background dota
For me, I don’t concentrate on any other fight other than Saturday night dota
What happens in the future stays in the future dota
“I’m living for today and this moment dota
My moment now is to fight Francis for the ‘baddest man on the planet’ title, and when I’ve won that, only after I’ve won that, I won’t even think about my next [fight] until I’ve had a week off and spent some time with my family dota
I’ve been in camp 12 weeks dota
